An Ant Colony Excavation: cruel but cool
If you don't think ants are absolutely amazing, watch this video and see if you change your mind! I think it is super-cruel to pour cement into an ant village but if the end result is that many more people will have a greater appreciation for the complexity, intelligence and miraculousness of the lowly ant and its colony...then I forgive just this one time. It is truly amazing to see what it looks like underground and how vast the network is. Nature is truly amazing.
