Remembrance Day. Remember this:

War begets war.

If all prior wars have been fought for greater causes like peace, freedom and democracy, why are we still fighting?

Apparently, war is not the great arbiter of justice and equality that we would like it to be, not for the countries invaded, not for the countries invading, and not for the well-intentioned soldiers, as you will see in the six examples below.

These examples of wars and military testing, show that veterans and soldiers are consistently treated terribly by their own governments. Those lucky enough to return home from duty don't realize that their toughest battles may still be ahead. Many veterans lack proper health care, financial compensation, and the skills to return to normal life. Many of them also become the greatest opponents of war.

So, today, I dedicate the following posts to the pursuit of peace, truth and justice.
